CSF burns worn-out Philippines flags

A number of worn-out Philippine Flags coming from different parts of the city were burned and buried at City Hall on August 30, 2019 for the “Huling Pagpupugay sa Watawat ng Pilipinas.”

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, together with the members of CSFP Arts, Culture, and Tourism Council, Boy and Girl Scouts of the Philippines and Mutya ning San Fernando 2019 Rica Gabriene David spearheaded the activity.

Section 14 of Republic Act 8491, also known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, states that worn-out Philippine Flags should be solemnly burned to avoid their misuse or desecration.
