CSF holds free seminar for entrepreneurs

City of San Fernando — The City Investment and Promotions Office and the Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 conducted a free seminar to help budding entrepreneurs.

Dubbed as “Finding the Right Market and the Right Product”, the seminar was opened to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises sector of the city last April 19 at the Heroes Hall.

The topics of discussion covered the steps on how to start a business, the concept of entrepreneurship, project identification, business plan preparation and business registration.

DTI resource person and consultant Dennis Orlina pointed that “it is important for starters to properly choose the right product for the right target market.”

“Our nation is being globally competitive hence an entrepreneur must think better business strategies and must be wiser in using investments” he said.

To further promote entrepreneurship, the CIPO through the Negosyo Center has also organized various related trainings as part of the center’s business information and advocacy services for this year.

In an interview, Mayor Edwin D. Santiago also encouraged students to avail of the seminars of the city which will provide them information on what business they could start with other than finding a job after graduation.

Those interested to avail similar trainings on entrepreneurship may visit the Negosyo Center at the City Hall Annex (Old DFA Building) in Barangay San Juan or call (045) 961-8722.
