From homemaking to supporting decisions in the boardroom, now to the canvass where her paintings exudes the beauty and splendor of life.
Agnes Macam-Romero will be having her first solo art exhibit titled “Portraits of Life, A Vibrance of Curves and Shades” that will put on display about 20 paintings.
“Painting has long been part of my life and perhaps it is about time to let other people see what i have created. They were heartfully done from inspirations like my family and blessings we have,” Romero said.
The wife of business leader Rene Romero of Romac fame, Romero’s dream to become a painter started in her childhood days.
After getting lessons from one artist, she has formally started to paint in year 2003 and has produced numerous pieces that revolve on various subjects like nature, human interests, family, settlements and community life. She has also been commissioned for portraits.
Her works found homes in many corporate and government offices, residences and public halls. The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC has also hosted her paintings.
“Her paintings are more than a fulfillment of her passion. They also symbolize women empowerment as her artworks could be seen to bring messages of unity, of hope and of harmony in the family and community,” said husband Rene.
Organized for her by the Tourism Office of City of San Fernando in cooperation with SM Pampanga, the exhibit will run from May 15 to 22, 2024.
