CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of Education (DepEd) Region 3 is set to recognize exemplary and empowered women employees for their contribution in the organization and/or community development.
In line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month, DepEd 3 launched the Search for Ulirang Ina, Ulirang Asawa, Ulirang Maybahay, Ulirang Lingkod ng Lipunan, and Ulirang Tagapagtanggol ng Karapatan ng mga Kababaihan.
“This activity aims to highlight the significant role of women employees in the life of their families, co-workers, immediate community and society in general,” DepEd Regional Director May Eclar said.
Moreover, Eclar stressed the activity is an advocacy campaign aimed at advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.
“The search process includes a nomination phase where functional division chiefs and unit heads can nominate qualified employees who are active in the service, with exceptional work performance and impeccable values, and is a role model for colleagues and family,” she noted.
DepEd 3’s National Women’s Month Culminating Activity will be held on March 19.
