DepEd lauds Lazatin’s support to online education

The Department of Education (DepEd) Region III recognized the efforts of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. in terms of helping Angeleño students in their transition to online learning.Mayor Lazatin is fulfilling his promise of “no Angelenos children left behind when it comes to education.

“The city government has allocated P209M for the purchase of 61,200 tablets to be used by Grades 4 to 12 students and City College of Angeles scholars, and 2,997 public school teachers in 53 public schools in the city.

These tablets will be used exclusively for their online classes, and will be returned by the end of the Academic School Year 2020-2021, to be used by other students in the following year.

772 internet access points and satellite dishes are now being installed throughout the City for the free WiFi Internet for all Angeleños, especially for the students for their online classes.
