In line with the conduct of the National and Local Elections on May 9, 2022, the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office (RO) III activates its Regional Election Task Force (ETF) Operation and Monitoring Center Election from May 8-10, 2022 at the Macapagal Hall, DepEd Regional Office.
The DepEd Election Task Forces, which were established at the Central, Regional, and Divsiion Offices, seek to guarantee compliance with the enforcement of all orders and instructions relative to the election duties. The ETF will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the said dates.
The Operation and Monitoring Center shall also serve as DepEd institutional link to volunteer organizations, individuals, as well as partner agencies involved in the conduct of the 2022 National and Local Elections.
Aside from establishing the Operation and Monitoring Center to document and report all teacher and school-related issues and concerns before, during and after the Elections, the members of the DepEDd ETF must ensure that teachers are provided with and/or referred to adequate information, technical and legal assistance in the course of the performance of their duties as members of the Electoral Board; provide close horizontal and vertical coordination and consultation among DepEd, COMELEC and partner agencies involved in the 2022 NLE; and complement the other government agencies’ efforts for an honest, orderly and peaceful election.
