DOH, municipal gov’t assure support to ‘Balikatan’ medical facility

MONCADA, Tarlac — Department of Health (DOH) and the municipal government of Moncada assured full support to the medical facility currently being constructed by Filipino and American troops.

The one-storey facility located at barangay San Pedro are among the civic assistance projects of this year’s Balikatan.

“This Balikatan project is timely because one of the goals of the Philippine Health Agenda is responsiveness. With this goal, we aim to ensure availability and accessibility of health facilities. It means that every barangay must have a health station that can be easily accessed by the people,” DOH Tarlac Head Maria Noel Lim said.

“On our part, we will make this health station a recipient of our Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya or TSeKaP program through the provision of equipment and medicines,” Lim added.

Moreover, the municipal government pledged to provide personnel for the facility and additional medicines. It will be completed by April 10, 2019.
