DOLE, Capitol distribute ₱18.1-M to 4,026 TUPAD workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in coordination with the Provincial Government of Pampanga, distributed ₱4,500 to each of the 4,026 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced (TUPAD) Workers who rendered a 10-day work service in their respective communities.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, together with some provincial and DOLE officials, led the salary pay-out held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC) on Monday, January 16.

He also asked the TUPAD workers to be aware of some individuals allegedly claiming to be a part of the program to illegally collect money.

TUPAD, as defined by the DOLE, is “a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers for a period of ten (10) to thirty (30) days.”
