CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan –Police arrested an alleged drug-pushing couple and five others during an anti-drug operation inside a suspected dope den in Racho Libis, Brgy. Assumption here Friday night.
In a report to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Supt. Fitz Macariola, head of the SJDM City police station, identified the arrested couple as Jimboy Damasco and Angela Reyes, both resident of the said village.
Macariola said the duo were arrested after selling a plastic sachet of shabu to a police undercover agent who along with the City Drug Enforcement Group has been monitoring them after receiving information that the suspects were using their house as a selling point and a dope den at the same time.
He added that the operation was conducted in coordination with the regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Fice other persons, who were identified as Regina Barroquina, Ruffa San Juan, Rosen Telles, William Turata and Paul Adonis San Luis were subsequently arrested after they were caught in the act of sniffing shabu during the conduct of the drug-bust operation, Macariola added.
The police team recovered 10 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, the marked money used in the buy bust and assorted paraphernalia.
Approperiate charges will be filed against the suspects. —EMIL G. GAMOS
