CABANATUAN CITY — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed two multipurpose buildings in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The two projects worth P5.88 million are located in barangays Pinanggaan and Sapang.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said providing villages with these types of infrastructure will help local officials in providing better and quality services to their constituents.
“These multipurpose facilities will help barangay officials to better perform their duties and provide them with safe places for the delivery of public services. It can also serve as conducive venues for holding barangay council sessions,” Trinidad remarked.
Barangay Sapang Secretary Dennis Mariano said that with the new building, the Violence Against Women and their Children Desk now has a separate room that can be used to receive complaints.
These were implemented through DPWH’s Basic Infrastructure Program and funded under the 2022 General Appropriation Act.
