DPWH completes mountain road in Maria Aurora

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the 2.2-kilometer Diaman-Dikildit Road in Maria Aurora, Aurora.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the opening of the mountain road now provides easy access between barangays Diaman and Dikildit.

“With the completion of the two-lane road, locals will no longer have to cross the Diaman River and traverse rough trails especially when transporting their farm products to the nearest market,” Villar said.

“This is expected to open more opportunities for the previously hard-to-reach area who rely on production of coconuts, palay and bananas,” Villar added.

The PhP49-million infrastructure was funded under the 2020 General Appropriations Act.
