CABANATUAN CITY — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) paved two gravel roads in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.
They were implemented by Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office.
The P5.88-million road improvement projects in barangays San Roque and Poblacion now give residents better access to the town proper.
“Upgrading of gravel roads to surfaced roads is a great help to the locals in improving their daily lives as well as the economy of the two barangays,” District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said.
Road project in the flood-prone barangay of San Roque was designed to have a 158.50-meter drainage system using 610 mm. pipe culverts to help prevent inundation in the area.
Funds for the infrastructures were sourced from the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
