Drug-Free and Fire-Safe: Baseco Country, Sisiman Hold Awareness Forum

Bataan Baseco Joint Venture Inc., in partnership with Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation, successfully organized a “Drug Free Campaign and Fire Safety Awareness Forum” last Wednesday at Barangay Baseco Country in Mariveles, Bataan.

Barangay officials and barangay tanod from both Baseco Country and Sisiman actively participated in the campaign, together with representatives from the PNP Mariveles, Mariveles BFP, KARPA Security Agency, and AFAB Fire and Emergency Division.

Resource speakers from each agency provided valuable information to the community. The BFP and AFAB Fire and Emergency Division imparted fire safety tips while the PNP Mariveles gave a briefing about the implementation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 to inform people about the importance of combating drugs.

Meanwhile, the Mariveles MDRRMO shared their disaster preparedness measures, particularly in times of approaching storms and other calamities. The KARPA Security Agency also provided updates on their efforts to maintain the safety of their communities.

According to Edgie Ruiz, EVP and COO of BBJVI, the campaign aims to expand people’s knowledge on the importance of adhering to safety rules for both fire prevention and drug control. This is to ensure that the communities they serve remain safe and secure.

The success of the campaign was evident in the active participation of the community, who showed a deep appreciation for the valuable information shared by the resource speakers. The event proved to be a great avenue to promote awareness and to encourage people to take an active role in maintaining the safety and security of their communities.
