Drug suspect yields P75K marijuana in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS — A 21 year old drug suspect on Thursday was arrested with over P75,000  worth of marijuana in his possession during an anti-illegal drug operation in Tarlac City, Tarlac.

Tarlac police director Col. Renante Cabico  said around 3:15 p.m., joint operatives of the PDEU Tarlac  and Tarlac City police station conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Maligaya, Tarlac City which resulted in the arrest of Warren Antalan, a porter and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Guevarra, La Paz, Tarlac.

Seized from the suspect were 86 pieces of small  plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves; one piece of wrapped  paper and a medium knot-tied transparent plastic bag, all containing dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing 635.99 grams and valued at P76,319.04; one  cellular phone; and one backpack.

The suspect will be charged with violations of Sec. 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
