DSWD provides 52K food packs to severely affected families

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided a total of 52,736 family food packs (FFPs) to those severely affected by the community quarantine in Central Luzon.

“Total cost of assistance under FFPs is PhP23,467,258.55,” DSWD Regional Director Marites Maristela disclosed.

From the figure, Aurora got 3,050 FFP; Bataan- 4,124; Bulacan- 13,730; Nueva Ecija- 11,243; Pampanga- 8,857; Tarlac-9,790; and Zambales- 1,942.

Moreover, the agency provided 80 hygiene kits with the municipalities of San Simon in Pampanga and Gerona in Tarlac each receiving 40.

It also distributed 15 family tents in the province of Tarlac with the municipalities of Ramos, San Manuel and Gerona each receiving 5.

“Total cost of assistance under non-food items is about PhP381,520,” Maristela furthered.

And lastly, DSWD assisted a total of 1,164 locally stranded individuals with total cost of assistance at PhP2,830,690. 

Financial assistance given to each client ranged from PhP1,000-6,000.
