DTI awards livelihood aid to 13 micro entreps in Victoria

TARLAC CITY — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provided livelihood aid to about 13 micro enterprises in Victoria, Tarlac.

DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez said Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) seeks to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs affected by the pandemic or other calamities to enhance the quality of their products.

“Under the NSB program, beneficiaries receive livelihood kits that can help them restore or develop their businesses. They were initially evaluated and chosen by DTI in consultation with the municipal government,” she explained.

Ramirez assured the continuous monitoring and assistance of DTI to the recipients, who are residents of barangay Balayang, through Negosyo Center Victoria.

For his part, Mayor Christian Yap said he envisions micro, small and medium enterprises in the municipality to expand and become large companies that will generate hundreds of jobs.

“Do your best, we are just here to support you so that we could help our community and our economy,” he remarked.
