SAMAL, Bataan — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI Bataan) headed by Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug led the opening of “Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay” (NSB) in Barangay Palili here, Wednesday morning.
Former Bataan First District Representative, now SBMA Director, Herminia B. Roman graced the event.
Herminia B. Roman, the loving mother of incumbent Bataan 1st District Congresswoman Geraldine B. Roman, is also a known businesswoman engaged in real estate and food business.
The NSB project in Bataan, which started in Barangay Gugo last May 29 this year, aims to boost and encourage more barangay-based business ventures.
Cabahug said the initiative aims to intensify the promotion and dissemination of the agency’s programs and services to help start-ups and micro enterprises in the barangays.
Its services include information campaign on the Go Negosyo Act, Business Name Law, financial literacy and Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso (P3).
NSB also offers entrepreneurship seminar, bookkeeping/accounting for non-accountants, product development and related skills training, among others, through the Negosyo Centers (NC) established in most municipalities of Bataan.
The said program is also being supported by TESDA, DILG, PIA and DOST. Photos: Nelin Cabahug Facebook
