DTI opens 35 Negosyo Centers in Central Luzon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has opened 35 Negosyo Centers in Central Luzon last year.

“From the figure, Nueva Ecija had the most with seven followed by Tarlac with six; Pampanga, Zambales, and Bulacan with five each; Bataan with four; and Aurora with three,” DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles said.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers is pursuant to Republic Act 10644 otherwise known as the Go Negosyo Act.

“They are mandated to provide business advisory services and business information services as well as serve as OFW Assistance Desk, venue for SME Roving Academy capability building sessions, and application centers for Barangay Micro Business Enterprises,” Angeles added.

They are established by DTI in partnership with local government units; Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Councils; and private stakeholders. (CLJD-PIA 3)Carlo Lorenzo J. Datu
