DTI Zambales celebrated Consumer Welfare Month

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Zambales celebrates Consumer Welfare Month through the DTI Bagwis Establishment Program which recognizes unique retail and service establishments that promote the highest level of business ethics and are recognized in consumer rights. 

Also part of the celebration was the recognition of the winners of the E-Drawing Poster Making Contest and Spoken Poetry Contest, in a simple program held at Ayala Malls Harbor Point of Subic Bay Freeport. 

The goal of the DTI Bagwis Establishments program is for entrepreneurs to promote fair and honest business practices through voluntary self regulation and ensure that quality and safe products and services at affordable prices can be purchased for consumers. 

Among those awarded the Gold Bagwis award by DTI Zambales are:

3. CSI Warehouse Club Incorporated (Department Store)

4. CSI Warehouse Club Incorporated (Hardware Plus)

5. Golden ABC, Inc. (Penshoppe)

6. Golden ABC, Inc. (form)

7. Golden ABC, Inc. (Oxygen)

8. Golden ABC, Inc. (Regatta) 


1. Crown Ace Hardware and General Merchandise Inc (Main Store)

2. Crown Ace Hardware and General Merchandise Inc (Tobacco Branch)

3. Magicclub Incorporated (Department Store) – Sta. Cruz, Zambales 

The Edmin Ref and Aircon Service Center of Olongapo won the Bronze Bagwis Award. 

There are currently 81 DTI Bagwis establishment awardees in Olongapo City and Zambales province. 

The winners of the Spoken Poetry Contest are: 1st Place – Joshua Mas (DepEd Tayo Olongapo City Regional Science HS III); 2nd Place – Kianne Riezl Tizon of (San Guillermo National High School – 301029) and 3rd Place – Mark Daniel Toralba (St. Benilde Center for Global Competence Inc.). 

And in the E-Drawing Poster Making Contest: 1st Place – Alyssa Nicholclenze L. Guera (Columban College, Inc).; 2nd Place – Mary Louise Joy Ramirez (St. Benilde Center for Global) Competence Inc.; 3rd Place – Pauline E. Batinga (St. James School of Subic, Inc.). (Dante M. Salvaña)
