Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan alluded that the Edsa People Power has not introduced any substantial social change to alleviate the sufferings of the people.
Pamintuan, who is a staunch supporter of Edsa People Power 2, said the commemoration of toppling former President Ferdinand Marcos has lost its luster and shine.
He criticized the number of people who joined this year’s celebration.
“Edsa People Power, ngayon wala nang power konti pa people. Let’s face it, the dwindling number of people joining this yearly event commemorating the toppling of Mr. Marcos has lost its luster and shine. You ask me why? Your guess is as good as most of us who participated in it 31 years ago today,” Pamintuan stressed in this facebook post.
