Elevated walkway links Newport City to NAIA

A 220-meter elevated air-conditioned walkway will soon link the Newport City complex to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

The elevated bridged called ‘Runway Manila’ will have moving walkways and elevators. It can accommodate more than 200,000 persons daily.

Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said the 220-meter elevated bridge is expected to be completed by the
“first quarter and the latest by second quarter.”

“Travelers would be able to enjoy this additional infrastructure going to our airport. This, I think, is especially for OFWs,” Villar said.
The Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. funded the construction of ‘Runway Manila’ in a bid to promote tourism.
