ANGELES CITY – Police gunned down Wednesday the city’s number four most wanted person with strings of criminal cases ranging from robbery-hold-up, illegal drugs and carnapping, after being cornered at the outskirt of Hadrian Street, Mountain View Subdivision, Barangay Balibago here, authorities here announced.
Cris Delpin Rosales, 31, of Ipil-ipil Street, Bgy. Pulung Maragul, a suspected illegal drugs peddler, was fatally injured when he traded shots with poseur buyer cop past 6 a.m., in said place, said Senior Inspector Agnes Nolasco, Chief of the Public Information Office of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO).
Rosales, according to Nolaco was the subject of manhunt by different government law enforcement units because of his alleged involvement in various crimes in Angeles City and nearby areas. She said the slain suspect also occupies the top 4 slot in the police list of most wanted persons under the City level category.
Nolasco said Rosales apparently took the bait laid by the local Drug Enforcement Unit operatives when he showed up at the place to deliver quantitative amount of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to poseur buyer.
Sensing surrounded by policemen, Nolasco said Rosales pulled out a handgun and shoot the lawman but missed. She said the undercover cop fired back fatally hitting the suspect.
Nolasco said Rosales has standing warrant of arrest for illegal drugs offenses.
Police said the suspect also lead a group of motorcycle riding-in-tandem criminals preying on foreign visitors and domestic guests along the tourist belt are in this city.
Police recovered two plastic sachets of shabu, a calibre 38 revolver handgun and unlicensed (SYM) black motorcycle. Investigators also found six empty shells for calibre 45 pistol at the crime scene.
