End Red Tape!

The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), represented by Acting President and CEO Alexander Cauguiran (front row, 2nd from right), sign Departmental Issuances for Repeal as part of the efforts of the National Competitive Council (NCC) to review outdated, burdensome, and unnecessary laws or issuances imposed on businesses and citizens that affect the country’s global competitiveness, ranking and investment climate. Known as Project Repeal, it is a government-wide regulatory reform initiative of various government agencies that include the departments of Trade and Industry (DTI), Finance (DoF), Tourism (DOT), Education (DepEd), Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Civil Service Commission and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), and the private sector represented by businessman Guillermo Luz as NCC co-chairman, among others, that will change the way government institute policies and regulatory reforms with the aim of institutionalizing an effective government-wide deregulation system to reduce the cost of doing business and attract more foreign direct investments in the country. The NCC envisions to instill a culture of excellence through public-private sector collaboration as a means to reduce poverty through inclusive growth that can be made possible through the implementation of the action agenda with private sector initiatives that support public policies.
