HERMOSA, Bataan – A rare case of “nanlaban”(resist arrest).
A suspected drug pusher sustained a gunshot wound on his left hand when he allegedly tried to elude arrest while trying to draw his “paltik” (makeshift) .45 Caliber pistol to shoot the arresting police operatives during a buy bust operation on Monday afternoon in Sito Tama in Barangay Culis here.
Hermosa PNP chief, Police Chief Inspector Marlo Dangarang, said his men immediately brought the suspect identified as Jonel Edora, 37, to Dinalupihan District Hospital for proper medical attention.
Edora is a resident of Barangay Burgos of this municipality.
The drug inventory with elected officials, media and arresting officers was also held at the said public hospital.
The PNP confiscated the makeshift gun, 5 bullets, several sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money used in police operation.
A case of Violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the suspect.
