Female employees in CSF get Valentine treats

Female employees from the City Government of San Fernando received their early Valentine’s Day treats during the program dubbed ‘Tribute to Women: Harana 2017’ held February 13.

A total of 755 female personnel from the Local Government Unit (LGU) and attached agencies including Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and Department of Education participated in the event.

With them are Councilor BJ Lagman, Kaganapan 2017 Chairperson Robbie Hizon and Vice-Chairperson Jun Pineda.

Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago, Councilor Reden Halili, Kaganapan 2017 Chairperson Robbie Hizon and Co-Chairperson Jun Pineda led the distribution of roses and souvenir items.

Meanwhile, male department heads led by City Administrator Engr. Fernando Limbitco also took part in serenading the women with various love songs.

“This annual gathering is our simple way of extending our gratitude for your hard work and dedication in public service while doing your personal duties as mothers and sisters to your families,” Mayor EdSa said.

He added, “Being a woman is never easy but is something that you should be proud of because you contribute a lot in the community’s success. Rest assured that the city will continue its programs aimed at empowering women.”

Initiated by the Gender and Development in coordination with the City Human Resource and Development Office, the activity is held in line with the celebration of Kaganapan 2017.
