Senator Tobias Enverga, the only Filipino Senator in Canada, attends the 35th anniversary of the Daughters of Isabella held at the Rembrandt Banquet Hall in Toronto recently. Senator Enverga of the Conservative Party has vowed to support the welfare of Filipino caregivers in Canada and to raise the number of immigrants being accepted to Canada back to 28,000 per year. The Liberal Government reduced the number of immigrants to 20,000 per year when it took power. The Senator, originally from Lucena City in Quezon Province, will also ask the Liberal Government to give more aid to those affected by “Typhoon Hayan.” Photo shows Senator Enverga (right) with iOrbitNews Canada Bureau Chief Lincoln Baluyut.
