Former drug reformist shot dead in Bataan

A 40-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident that transpired in Barangay San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan, Friday morning.

According to a report from Police Lt. Col. Emelito Dela Cruz, Dinalupihan Police Chief, the victim was identified as Revani Paule, married, jobless, resident of Brgy. San Benito, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Initial investigation from the PNP revealed that at around 10:10am of June 25, 2021, a concern citizen reported the said incident thru the municipality’s cellphone hotline and immediately, the duty investigator together with Lt. Col. Dela Cruz proceeded to the crime scene and found the lifeless body of the victim.

Report stated that while inside the vacant lot owned by his uncle, an unidentified male suspect armed with Cal .45 pistol entered the scene and shot the victim several times then immediately fled to unknown direction.

Paule sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of his body which reportedly caused his instantaneous death. PNP verification showed that the victim was a former drug reformist and has undergone rehabilitation at the Bataan Drug Rehabilitation Center in Pilar, Bataan. 

Chief Dela Cruz said the case is still under investigation as of press time.
