Dinalupihan, Bataan—Four 90-year olds here have received cash aid and free medical check-ups on Thursday.
Dinalupihan Mayor German “Tong” Santos, together with Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) OIC Cristina Banal and Consultant for Social Services Ma’am Ofelia Mendoza, had personally visited the four senior citizens who have reached the age of 90 years old.
The four received ₱20,000 cash each.
The recipients of this special recognition were Lola Emilita Esmeria of Barangay Naparing, Lolo Graciano Guevarra of New San Jose, Lola Agatona Manalansan of New San Jose, and Lola Justina Reyes of Roosevelt. The Dinalupihan officials, along with the Mobile Health Physician, Dr. Roddame Angelo Erispe, and MHO nurses, also took the opportunity to personally assess the health of the honorees.
Mayor Santos expressed his gratitude to the senior citizens for their invaluable contributions to the community and emphasized the importance of cherishing and caring for the elderly. He encouraged the recipients to stay healthy and vibrant, serving as inspirations to the younger generations.
Santos added the simple event was not only a celebration of longevity but also a reminder of the wisdom and experience that senior citizens bring to society. It highlighted the need to honor and support them, ensuring their golden years are filled with dignity and respect.
