Former President Fidel V. Ramos will lead the ceremonial tee off of the 4th Plaridel Golf Cup Tournament slated on Friday ( November 9) at the Villamor Air Base Golf Club, event organizers announced.
Plaridel or Association of Philippine Journalists Samahang Plaridel Foundation Inc, friendly golf tournament is open to non-media golf enthusiasts.
“We hope media golfets can gather for a friendly game to unqimd from stressful day at the job,” said Samahang Plaridel president Rolando Estabillo in a statement.
This years tourney, Eatabillo said is being sponsored by Oriental Group, Philippine Airlines, Liwayway Marketing Corp., PAGCOR, GMA network, Ayala Land Inc., Steel Asia, San Miguel Corp., Agila ng Bayan, Cong Edgar Erice, Manila Water and Asia Brewery.
Tee off time starts at 7:00 a.m.
Media partners include Manila Standard, Manila Times and Market Monitor.
Estabillo said the 18-hole golfest seeks to foster goodwill and camaraderie among golfing journalists and their friends.
Registration is still ongoing.
Trophies await winners in two divisions: media and guest, while surprise merchandise items will be up for the traditional raffle.
