HERMOSA, Bataan – Bataan Governor Abet Garcia and Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” R. Inton on Friday led the inauguration of a multi-purpose covered court in Barangay Almacen here.
The project was funded by Senator JV Ejercito. Senator Ejercito was represented by his political officer Edilbrando “Bong” Castro.
Village chiefs and councilors from different barangays, municipal councilors and other visitors and residents witness the event.
Inton’s first term as mayor focuses more on infrastructure projects such as covered courts in all barangays, improved roads, multi-purpose buildings and efficient flood control systems.
Inton also acknowledged various help and assistance he gets from his friends outside this province.
“Sa mga bumabatikos po sa inyong lingkod lalo na sa social media, tingnan po natin ang resulta kapag natapos natin ang lahat ng mga pagawaing bayang ito. Kung sa budget lang po ng munisipyo hindi po natin magagawa ito kaya kahit paano malaki po ang naitutulong ng ating mga kaibigan sa labas ng ating lalawigan,” Inton lamented during an interview with this reporter.
Recently, utilizing the financial assistance from various senators; covered courts, road projects and multi-purpose buildings were also built in other barangays such as Bamban, Mambog, Mabiga, Maite, Mandama, Cataning, Tipo and Bacong.
Meanwhile, Inton reiterated that the old public market of Hermosa is still under a ten year moratorium since 2009 and it will expire on 2019.
“Alam po ng mga vendors yan doon sa old public market may kasunduan sila ng municipal government since 2009 na hindi sila paaalisin doon kahit may bago nang Hermosa Public Market, next year (2019) irereveal natin kung ano ang ating plano sa ating lumang palengke,” Inton added. –Photos by John Michael Mendoza • LGU-Hermosa
