Gov: DTI’s ‘Rolling Store’ can help Ompong victims

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda, in the recently held 3rd Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) III meeting, urged to extend help to the victims of typhoon Ompong and southwest monsoon by adapting the ‘rolling store’ project of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

“Tulungan natin sila, lalo na yung mga lubog pa rin hanggang ngayon,” the lady governor added. “Lalo na yung sa Calumpit, Bulacan, Macabebe, Masantol.”


DILG Regional Director III Julie Daquioag, RPOC Chairperson Albert Raymond ‘Abet’ Garcia, Pampanga Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda, PNP Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus and 7th ID Commander Felimon Santos Jr., in the 3rd Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting III in KICC.

Pineda furthered that with this the crime rate in the region will continue to decrease.

“Yung mga kababayan natin hindi na sila mapipilitan gumawa pa ng hindi maganda kapag mayroon tayong patuloy na tulong at programa para sakanila,” she added.

Bataan Governor and RPOC Chairperson Albert Raymond ‘Abet’ Garcia also lauded the intensive efforts of the Philippine National Police (PNP), headed by Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus in maintaining the peace and order in the region.

Garcia, with Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director III Julie Daquioag led the discussion regarding the POC and Anti Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) assessment, enhanced-CLIP and status updates on the implementation of DILG peace and program, internal peace and security and presentation regarding half-way house and the fight against illegal drugs.

The Bataan governor thanked the members of the council in simultaneously doing their respective roles for the betterment of the municipalities and cities in the region.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in maintaining the peace and order here in our region,” Garcia furthered.

The council also endorsed 7th Infantry Division Commander, Felimon Santos Jr. to be the Vice Chairperson.
