TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Tarlac Governor Susan Yap confirmed this afternoon two positive cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the province.
“The first patient is a 75-year old female from Brgy. Patalan in Paniqui while the second patient is a 39-year old male from Brgy. Pinasling, Gerona,” Yap disclosed.
Due to these cases, the governor has placed the entire province under a lockdown starting 12:01AM of March 29. Guidelines will be cascaded to all municipal and city mayors.
Yap also asked the public to cooperate and obey the government’s rules and regulations to ensure their safety against the virus.
“We should not take COVID-19 lightly. Out of 1.4 million Tarlaqueños in the province, we only have limited front liner health workers. Stay home and stay safe,” she added.
