Gov’t eyes 30,000 shelter units under 4PH in Bulacan

A total of 30,000 units under the flagship Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) program will be built in six sites in Bulacan.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the groundbreaking ceremonies of the projects located in the city of San Jose Del Monte and municipalities of San Rafael and Pulilan.

He highlighted that 4PH is a priority program of his administration as it is seen to address the country’s housing backlog pegged at 6.5 million.

“I want to personally witness this moment and ensure that the project will begin and will be finished in the right time. This [4PH program] will not be easy, but with our cooperation—the government and the people—we will surely attain this,” he said.

A total of 1,890 residential vertical housing units to be named as Aria Estate Housing Development will be built in a 4.5-hectare land at Heroesville in barangay Gaya-Gaya, city of San Jose Del Monte.

It will have nine residential towers comprising eight-storey buildings with commercial areas on the ground floor, residential units at second to eight floors, different community facilities, and a hospital.

In addition, Marcos underscored that the national government will continue to intensify the implementation of the 4PH program which has already reached 20 localities across the country.

“I am wishing for your cooperation and love for your country and community. Continue to be hardworking and diligent because in the end, positive results of our sacrifices will come back to us. Nobody will benefit in this [4PH] program except you,” he pressed.

About 3,920 condominium units, on the other hand, are set to rise in the San Rafael Heights Development Project at barangay Caingin, San Rafael.

These will be 15 buildings, 11-storey mid-rise towers, eight buildings of eight-storey low rise units, and four buildings of five-storey low rise units.

Marcos also lauded the local government units in their participation in the attainment of the 4PH projects.

“You served as our partners in bringing the services to our countrymen: from giving the right allocation of lands, and the financial aid so that we could successfully provide housing projects to those in need and the poor. I wish your continued support so that we could help more people in your localities,” he stated.

Moreover, a total of 1,044 housing units will be built in Mom’s Ville Homeowners Association Incorporated at barangay Peñabatan, Pulilan.

The project will comprise 13 ten-storey low rise buildings within a two-hectare property.

Meanwhile, other simultaneous groundbreaking ceremonies led by officials of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) were conducted in other areas in the province.

Among these are the 4,050 units of Pandi Terraces at barangay Bagong Barrio, Pandi which will rise in a 12-hectare property with 26 low rise buildings.

Another project is the 108-unit Municipal Government of Guiguinto Employees Housing which is a horizontal residential area at barangay Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto.

Lastly, DHSUD led the groundbreaking of 675 units at barangay Santor, Malolos City.

Named as the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Maloleño Program 2023-2025, the project will have four four-storey low rise buildings in a 2.6-hectare property. (CLJD/JLDC-PIA 3)
