Grab Philippines Country Head Brian Cu on Sunday offered P100,000 to whoever can provide information that will lead to the capture of Gerardo “Junjie” Maquidato Jr’s killers.
Maquidato, Grab’s driver-partner, was killed by lawless elements who booked a ride as passengers and took his vehicle after shooting him.
“Nakausap ko po ang misis nya, ang simpleng hiling lang nya ay mabigyan ng justice po si Junjie at mahuli ang duwag na pumatay sa kanya,” Cu said in his social media post.
“I think it’s within our responsibility to do whatever we can para hulihin po ang perpetrator ng crime na ito,” he added.
He warned Maquidato’s killers that Grab is using its technology to help authorities solve Maquidato’s killing.
“Chinachallenge ko kayo. Hindi na kayo magtatagal dito. Mahuhuli kayo at mahuhuli. Nasa amin ang data, Nakita naming kung saan kayo dumaan, saan nyo binaba,” Cu warned.
Cu also said he is offering the reward even to the police.
“We will continue working with the police authorities on this matter,” Cu said. “I want the coward brought to justice as swiftly as possible.”
Aside from the reward, Grab has also created a hotline to receive any leads on the whereabouts of the perpetrators. For any useful information, please call or text 09176178731. # # #
