Veteran journalist Gregorio “Greg” Lumanlan Sangil, reporter of the defunct Manila Chronicle, passed away on Thursday. He was 86 years old.
In the mid 60s, Sangil also wrote his column titled View from the Capitol for The Voice, a tabloid of weekly circulation in Pampanga province. He is one of the pillars of the Pampanga Press Club, the oldest media organization in the country.
Sangil is survived by his wife Ofelia, and sons Councilor Jay Sangil of Angeles City and Christopher. The late newsman is lying in state at the St. Louie Chapel in Cangatba, Porac, Pampanga.
