Gringo is one of the latest addition to the interesting food scene at SM City Marilao. Nestled along the specialty food strip of the mall, the newly opened restaurant is a place where “amigos”, family and friends can enjoy a Mexican- Latin feast at an affordable price and sizable portions.
Accommodating up to 120 guests, Gringo’s rustic and signature homey look makes it a perfect place to relax, sit and chow down on perfectly roasted chicken, barbecued ribs as well as grilled meats and veggies. With the restaurant’s variety of innovative creations, bold flavors and traditional Mexican classics, Gringo’s entrees are sure-fire way to satisfy hungry restaurant-goers.
Foodies should try Gringo’s stand out signature chicken that comes in Original and Southern Spice varieties. The Original chicken is flavored with traditional Mexican-Latin spices and grilled to perfection, while the Southern Spice chicken comes with a distinctly Southern American blend of herbs and spices. The ribs, on the other hand, are just as heavenly with its fall-off-the-bone juicy meat and signature barbecue sauce. These dishes are best paired with the restaurant’s signature sauces: lemon herb and hot and spicy.
Apart from the chicken and the ribs, other must-try dishes include the traditional Mexican dishes such as: chilli, tacos, taquitos, quesadillas, burritos, and nachos. Gringo also carries a pretty extensive list of sides including both traditional favorites and healthy options. The specialty restaurant also offers cocktails like the El Gringo Margarita, a frozen strawberry margarita topped with a full bottle of Corona beer. The house mojito that uses Bacardi rum, mint, and lime delighted a lot of foodies as it is best paired with the Gringo’s seafood specials like lemon garlic butter crab; crispy catfish salsa; and the 1875 pot stewed beef (Creole-style beef stew).
