Guv announces Pampanga under GCQ starting May 16

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga –  Pampanga and Angeles City will be under the General Community Quarantine starting tomorrow , Saturday (May 16) . The governor reiterated there were still guidelines and restrictions to follow on a GCQ. 

“Di po ibig sabihin na GCQ ang Pampanga  ay pwede na po tayong lahat lumabas ng mga bahay natin. Ang madadagdag lang po from ECQ to GCQ ay magsisimula na pong magtrabaho yung mga workers natin.” Pineda said. 

Still only limited persons will be authorized outside home. Only those resuming their work and quarantine pass holders (to buy food, medicine and other essentials) and other essential personnel like front line workers and government/barangay personnel. 

Malls, groceries and food establishments were permitted to operate under the guidelines of IATF . Those will be allowed to operate from seven in the morning until six in the evening providing they serve all requirements from respective local chief executives. 

Ordinance No. 756 is still effective under GCQ. Not wearing of mask will  cause fines of Php 20,000 up to Php 50,000 and social distancing must strictly observe. Whoever employees of establishment who do not observe wearing of masks will be subjected to store closure and cancellation of permits.

Selling of liquor and alcoholic beverages is allowed in the province under GCQ but drinking spree is prohibited. 

Employees of business establishments in Pampanga that will be coming from other province or in Manila can now enter the province. 

“Makakapasok lang po ang galing sa Maynila o mga area na modified ECQ kung nagtatrabaho po kayo rito or nasa government po kayo, the rest na wala po kayong purpose sa province di parin po kayo pwede pumasok sa province po ng Pampanga.” Pineda stressed. 

Checkpoints will be maintained to different parts of the province to avoid unauthorized person outside home luring around. 

“Eto pong COVID-19 ay hindi pa po tapos, wala padin pong vaccine na naimbento, nakikiusap po kami sa inyo na ingatan po natin ang ating sarili ingatan po natin ang ating pamilya”[ this COVID-19 is unfinished, still there is no vaccine for this. We are pleading to everyone to take care of yourself and your family]. Pineda said.
