Angeles City Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan formally accepted a tow truck donated by the Holy Angel University during a simple turnover rites at the City Hall this city on Monday.
The tow truck, an Izuzu Elf self-loading truck, will be used by the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) for its campaign to improve the traffic situation in the city by removing obstructions and illegally parked vehicles.
HAU President Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo and Jeff Nepomuceno, HAU representatives, said the donation is in recognition and support of the HAU towards the improvement of the traffic management of the city and to give further impetus to its programs.
Mayor Pamintuan expressed his appreciation and gratitude to HAU and the Nepomuceno family for their generosity and support to the local government.
ACTDO Chief Danilo Concepcion also acknowledged the assistance of HAU in providing the barricades in front of the school which greatly improved the flow of traffic in the area.
In the recently concluded Focused Group Discussion in preparation for the Angeles City Traffic Summit, the operation of a tow truck by the LGU is one of the most suggested solutions to improve the traffic in the city.
