iOrbit News Online, the first online news portal in Central Luzon celebrated its first founding anniversary on August 24.
The online news portal based in Angeles City, Pampanga was launched a year ago at the Midori Hotel and Casino although it went online as early as June 6, 2016.
“More than a year has passed and we survived the challenges of the electronic media. iOrbit News Online will continue to serve the public with up to date information and current events,” said Pampanga Press Club President Deng Pangilinan, who founded the online news portal.
iOrbit News Online was conceptualized by Pampanga-based media practitioners after several local tabloid operated by businessmen and politicians in the province folded up.
Pangilinan said iOrbit News Online is an independent outlet for news “and not beholden to politicians or businessmen” who ventured into the media industry.
“iOrbit News Online is now being followed not only by Kapampangans here and overseas but by all Filipinos. We were able to make use of the latest trends in the electronic media industry and the shift to digital media was widely accepted by the reading public,” according to Pangilinan.
Pangilinan said iOrbit News Online is accessible “anytime and anywhere” in the world. “We have created a niche in the realm of digital media. We will see to it that we will abide to the tenets of truthful, fair and balanced journalism.”
