The International Police Commission (IPC) with Katuwang Foundation thru Ambassador to United Nations General Glennbert Lazo has broke ground three four-storey, 16-classroom school building in Tarlac and Pampanga, Monday.
Lazo was joined by Lt. Gen. Deputy Ambassador Elisa Lazo, IPC Director General Galma Arcilla, Brig. Gen. Ramil Guiao, IPC VP for Operations Engr. Lexter Halagao, and Col. Orlando Sicat, IPC vice president for planning and marketing in the capsule laying ceremony held at Balutu Elementary School and San Antonio Elementary School in Concepcion, Tarlac, and Mabalacat National High School in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
According to Lazo, a total of 51 million pesos is alloted for every school building. The fundings were provided by the United Nations.
“Matagal na po tayong tumutulong sa ating mga kababayan na hindi naabutan ng tulong mula sa gobyerno. Hindi lang po tayo focused sa mga schools, pati mga ospital, tulay at iba pa na kailangan ng ating mga communities,” Lazo said.
“Nararapat po na tumulong tayo sa mga kababayan natin. Karamihan po sa mga eskwelahan natin ay binabaha. Kami po ay tutulong hanggang nabubuhay kami to provide free and quality education for the next generation. Sa mga ibang lugar po na wala pang eskwelahan, maaari po kayong lumapit sa aming tanggapan at magfile ng request,” Arcilla added.
Also present in the ceremony are BGen. Emmanuel Timpug, Col. Jessirose Rivales, Col. Mary Jaisy Timpug, Col. Vencio Macatarangay, Major Lexter Halagao, Major Jonah Shin, 2Lt. Lanlyn Bognot, 2Lt. Romina Anne Halagao, 2Lt. Dafhne Talay and the members of Transnational Anti-Organized Crime-Intelligence Group.
