Olongapo City – In line with their common advocacy of promoting international understanding, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Olongapo formalized its sisterhood with JCI Tikapur, a local chapter in Nepal in a twinning ceremony signed during the Asia Pacific Conference held June 18, 2019 in Jeju, Korea.
JCI Olongapo is represented by its President Jason DC. Gavina while JCI Tikapur was represented by JCI Nepal’s National Executive Vice President Rabin Pokhrel, as JCI World Executive Vice President Amzad Hussain witness the signing ceremony.
With this agreement, the two local chapters “commit to building strong ties and international collaboration by fostering understanding beyond national, cultural and linguistic barriers,” said Gavina.JCI Olongapo was established in 1959 and has been a training ground of young active citizens and leaders in the community. — Dante M.
