LIAN, Batangas — A 55-year old visiting Korean drowned at Matabungkay Resort here on Saturday afternoon after he went swimming while intoxicated.
Kim Song Ho failed to surface, prompting family members to seek help from resort staff, police said.
Kim’s family, police said, rented a cottage at the resort. According to reports, Kim decided to freshen up after downing several glasses of liqour but failed to surface after more than 20 minutes.
Kim’s body was found by a rescue team and rushed him to the nearby Metro Balayan Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
