ABU DHABI — Want to get ‘gift vouchers’ to go shopping? Then be a law-abiding driver in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Police recently launched the ‘Happiness Patrol Project’ that will see police officers giving gift vouchers to law-abiding drivers.
The Happiness Patrol project also aims to encourage road users to value a culture of “happiness and positivity” in Abu Dhabi.
“We are very proud of this pioneering project as it is consistent with the national charter of happiness and positivity,” according to Uhoud Khafan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness.
The ‘Happiness Patrol Project’ tells road users to follow traffic rules and regulations in a bid to reduce road accidents.
Road violators will be simply told to make a pledge not to repeat the infractions by the Abu Dhabi Police.
