STA.ANA, Pampanga – Banking on the business and professional sectors support, lawyer and businessman Dennis Pangan and his entire slate trooped to the Commission on Elections here where they filed their respective Certificate of Candidacy Tuesday.
Vying for the mayoralty post come May 2022 polls, Pangan is tandem with former town mayor Rommel ‘Omeng’ Concepcion who will run for vice mayor under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC).
Tek Concepcion, Greg Del Rosario, Ephraim Matias and Oday Nacpil completed Pangan slate.
Pangan is the president of Holy Cross College, founder of the law firm Pangan and Associates, He worked as a professor and BAR reviewer at the Far Eastern University, University of the East and Adamson College in Manila.
He served as head of the San Beda College of Law legal aid clinic.
Anchored on a slogan “Eko pu Mipaburen”, Pangan vowed to initiate reforms in the local governance of this 3rd class municipality. Among his priorities are education, health, waste management, and establishment of business center and create livelihood to unemployed and underprivileged.
Pangan will challenge incumbent mayor Rose Gamboa and vice mayor Soy Guevarra, both of the local party Kambilan.
Meanwhile, Doctor Allan Policarpio, president of the Floridablanca Doctors Hospital, filed his CoC as mayor of the Floridablanca town.
It will be a three-corner fight between Policarpio, incumbent mayor Darwin Manalastas and ex-mayor Eduardo Guerrero.
