Lazatin allots ₱4M for cash aid, Vitamin C of 4,000 PWDs

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. allotted ₱4 million for the ₱1,000 financial assistance and three-month supply of Vitamin C supplements of 4,000 physically-disabled Angeleños.

This was revealed by Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, who said that the distribution will begin in March.

“Lahat po ng sektor sa komunidad pupuntahan po ni Mayor Lazatin para hatiran po ng tulong pinansyal,” Calaguas said.

“Batid po ng liderato ni Mayor Lazatin ang pangangailangan ng bawat sektor kaya naman po sinisikap nating mabigyan po lahat ng karampatang tulong,” Calaguas furthered.

According to Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office Head Alma Vital, this is not the first time that Mayor Lazatin had allotted funds for financial assistance for the sector.

Aside from the regular cash assistance and Vitamin C supplements, Mayor Lazatin has been promoting PWD-friendly premises in the City Hall by putting up necessary structures like an elevator and ramps.

Mayor Lazatin also instructed the City Engineering Office and the Business Permit and Licensing Division to conduct an inspection on the accessibility of establishments for PWDs.

To remind them that they are part of the community and will never be left behind, inset and sign language were included in the city government’s official news broadcasts.

Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas recently presided the meeting for the distribution with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, PDAO Head Vital, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego, and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles.
