Lazatin extends support to MSMEs, local merchants

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is opening the One Town One Product (OTOP), shop, Angeles City’s souvenir center, to all Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), local producers and local manufacturers free of charge.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel said this is the initiative of the Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Lazatin, to help MSMEs recover from the impact of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to the business sector, as well as to promote Angeleño products with a campaign “Pasal-one, Angeleño pa!”

Any potential merchant can register via a link provided in the OTOP Angeles City Store Facebook page, managed by the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO), led by Irish Bonus-Llego, Manuel says.

The application form should be filled out thru the link provided which will automatically be submitted to the ACEDIPO. They can also contact the numbers 09234247320 and 09973102202, she added.

Moreover, Manuel also shared that the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) distributed business starter kits to identified beneficiaries in the city as part of the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) program.

Llego, ACEDIPO officer-in-charge, said local merchants just need to submit their barangay permit only.

If the merchant is a food enterprise, it should also provide its Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certification or it should be FDA approved.

Moreover, the Negosyo Center located at Robinsons Starmills will be transferred to OTOP, Llego stressed.

The OTOP is located in Nepomuceno Street, Barangay Sto. Rosario. It is open every Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
