Lazatin orders release of mid-year bonus on May 15

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. today, April 29 ordered the city’s Local Finance Committee to release the City Hall workers’ mid-year bonus on May 15, 2020.

In his Memorandum No. 670, Series of 2020, Lazatin asked the Local Finance Committee composed of City Budget Office, City Accounting Office and City Treasurer’s Office, to compute and prepare the mid-year bonus of City Government employees.

“In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, we have to ensure that our government workers have financial security,” Lazatin said.

A total of 1,316 employees in City Hall – 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual – are to receive the mid-year bonus, amounting to P32,542,594.

The said bonus is equivalent to one-month basic pay and shall be given to entitled personnel not earlier than May 15 of the current year.

The grant of mid-year bonus is in accordance with Republic Act No. 11466 and the National Budget Circular No. 579 issued by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) last January 24.
