QUEZON CITY – The local government unit of Hermosa led by municipal mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” R. Inton yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Department of Agriculture Secretary Hon. Emmanuel “Manny” F. Piñol.
The MOA signing was for the Philippine Rural Development Project or the PRDP.
Mayor Inton was accompanied by Hermosa Vice Mayor Cris Vitug, Councilor Luz Samaniego and executive assistant Rex Jorge.
Vice Mayor Vitug said the initial information on the projects are worth more or less P200 million and will be implemented in two villages of Hermosa namely Barangay Nazareno and Mabiga.
The Philippine Rural Development Project is a six-year project designed to establish the government platform for a modern, climate-smart and market-oriented agri-fishery sector.
PRDP partners with the LGUs and the private sector in providing key infrastructure, facilities, technology, and information that will raise incomes, productivity, and competitiveness in the countryside.
