Love to read books? Visit the Little Red Library

“Take a book, return a book.” Or better still — donate books and magazines to the ‘Little Red Library.’

That red phone booth similar to the ones seen in the streets of London called ‘Little Free Library’ “promote the love of reading by encouraging free book exchange.”

In its Facebook account, Marquee Mall encouraged visitors to “Share the gift of reading with everybody! Check out the Little Free Library at Level 2. Be part of this movement by bringing your books to the Concierge at Level 1.”

The Marquee Mall management said ‘Little Free Library’ is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange with an “understanding that real people are sharing their favorite books with their community.”

The management said “If you take a book (or two) from the ‘Little Free Library’, you do not need to return the exact book. However, in order to keep the Little Library full of good choices for the whole neighborhood, the next time you swing by the Library bring a few books to share.”

It futher said the ‘Little Free Library’ book exchanges function on the honor system – everyone contributes to ensure there are always quality books inside, the management said.

The donated books will be inscribed with ‘Little Free Library Stamp’ to prevent used book stores from buying them.

Anyone who wishes to donate books are advised to leave them at the Concierge Area Level 1 of Marquee Mall.
