CLARK FREEPORT – Lubao Mayor Esmeralda ‘Esmie’ Pineda has cited the support of 2nd District Cong. Juan Miguel ‘Mikey’ Arroyo to her administration.

“Siya [Cong. Arroyo] pa nga po ang nagtatanong sa akin kung anong gusto kong programa para matulungan niya ako,” she told members of the Pampanga Press Club during the regular News@Hues forum at Park Inn by Radisson Clark.

The lady Mayor also thanked the efforts of Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda and Vice Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda to guide her in governance, since she is new in politics.

Pineda, the newly-elected Executive Vice President of the Pampanga Mayors’ League (PML), mentioned her priority programs for the betterment of Lubao.

“Marami pa pong plano si BM Mylyn para sa Lubao na gusto kong ituloy,” she added.

According to her, the health of her constituents is always her priority.

In fact, last Aug. 6, 250 residents from three barangays received free eyeglasses and dentures, an activity which was personally sponsored by her philanthropist father Rodolfo ‘Bong’ Pineda.

Apart from this, she shared the influx of students at the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) satellite campus in Lubao. The school, she said, is ready for the increasing number of students.

“Mayroon pa pong building do’n na hindi pa nagagamit, yung binigay ni former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Sen. Chiz Escudero,” she furthered.

Moreover, Mayor Pineda stressed her plans for flood-control projects to assure that her constituents will have a comfortable life in Lubao, especially that the Local Government is helping them in terms of livelihood and employment.#
